Intwition tracks what people are linking to and talking about on Twitter.
Lookup a website on Intwition and you will see all of the tweets about the page. It provides the total number of tweets as well as the total ‘reach’ of a URL which is the number of users the link had the potential to reach. This is calculated by adding the number of followers of all those who posted the link.
In addition to individual pages, Intwition provides a snapshot of all the tweets about each site as a whole. For example, by looking up Flickr, we can see the total number of comments and reach for all pages on Flickr, the most recently twittered about pages, and a list of who links to Flickr the most.
Intwition works by scanning Twitter’s public feed for posts with links, while resolving any shortened urls (such as tinyurl).
Perhaps the most useful feature is the ability to track all tweets about a specific site through RSS feeds provided for every domain. (Example: http://intwition.com/rss/techcrunch.com)
I whipped this up over the past week and even in it’s early stage I have a lot of ideas for moving forward. So please feel free to leave any suggestions, I’m listening!
