To save pages to read later from the browser on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, you'll want to install the Read It Later bookmarklet.

    ----

    To install on the iPad:

    Steps:
    1. Open the app
    2. Rotate to landscape
    3. In the left sidebar, tap the + icon in the bottom corner of the screen
    4. Select 'Mobile Safari' from the add page
    5. Select 'Read It Later Bookmarklet'
    6. You will be brought to a screen with instructions on how to install. The video demo above can help if you get stuck.

When I open my bookmarks, there is no edit button, only history and clear history. What am I missing? Thanks!

If you are in the history view, you should find a button in the top left that says 'Bookmarks'.

    @Laura & @mysrnt

When you open the bookmarklet installer from within the app RIL will automatically copy the bookmarklet code into your clipboard for you.

I have seen a few cases where there is a problem with the clipboard and it doesn't receive the code. If that is happening for you, I'd recommend restarting your phone to clear it.

Let me know if you have any other problems!

In the latest iPad OS, the plus button was replaced with a share button, which looks like a box with an arrow jumping out of it.

      Sorry for the confusion.

I follow the instructions and all is well until the step where I open the bookmarks and tap edit. Then we are supposed to tap the RIL bookmark. But it is not there. Every step has been taken to that point but the bookmark is not there so I can't get past this step. very frustrating. Please help. Thanks. Donna    Private comment hidden

      Hey Donna,

It's the same bookmark that you saved in the first step. When you open your bookmarks, make sure you are in Bookmarks and not History (you may have to hit the back button if it's visible)

Re installing Mobile Safari bookmarklet. I've added and saved your bookmarklet about five times now whe I go into bookmarks, press Edit, and look for "Read it later," THERE IS NO SUCH ENTRY ANYWHERE AMONG MY BOOKMARKS. Please advise. (The only conflict ICANN think of is that I do have an Instapaper bookmarklet installed.)
