No icon in location bar.
I don't see ReadItLater icon in my location bar. I see button next to search bar (with list of my saved sites etc.). One important thing: if i uninstall ReadItLater and delete all files from my profile which ReadItLater using i can install it again, and i see icon but after restart of Firefox, i can't see it again.
Version of ReadItLater=2.0.3 and of Firefox=3.6 and of Windows=7
And of course, i searched forum, but help here is about button, but i don't see icon. :(
Next is some spam ;]
Thank you very much for this great addon, this really save my life (almost1500 saved pages!!!). And i like VERY much new options and features. :) Keep up good job!

Do you have any other add-ons installed?
If you take a look at the thread here:
http://www.ideashower.com/support/read-it-later/cant-find-read-it-later-button/
It appears there are some addons that may cause incompatibility issues. If you find that it's a particular add-on, can you let me know which?
Thanks! -
Raziel
Unfortunately i uninstall every addon i had, than uninstall ReadItLater, than delete files which ReadItLater was using and install ReadItLater again. And as i said in previous post i can see icon in location bar (i don't know exact english name, there where you type adress of website) but after next restart (no addons added) i can't see icon anymore.

I found something interesting. When i try to reproduce this error on clean firefox profile i simply can't. I install same addons that i have in my default profile, one by one. Nothing happend. But i remember that on previous operating system i have too disappearing icon problem and remember that read it later don't ask me for master pasword. So i set master password on this fresh profile, and everytime i restart, or sync or try configure, i was asked for password. AND THIS IS INTERESTING. When i launched default profile, NO ASKING AT ALL!!! Plus i noticed that icon on fresh profile appears AFTER i input password, so if i can't give master password (whatever reason) on default profile, maybe function that will show icon on location bar is never fired?!

As you see my problem is different from problems from your link. I think you can check, what can disturb asking user for master password. I really appreciate your work and your time you spend for us! -

If i logut, and "erase my local data" i have icon in no time, but when i login and restart Firefox (even when i turn off "store password securely" and turn off master password) i don't see this #*%#@ icon again... :[ Private comment hidden -

When you startup and there is no icon, can you check the Error Console?
It's under the Tools menu.
Under the errors tab, are there any errors? -
Raziel
I'm affraid there is no error. :( I even logout, erase my local data, login again (so i can see icon again) and restart firefox. There is no icon and no error. For now i stick to that "pattern" to use icon, this isn't very disturbing, because i rarely close Firefox, but if you have any advice, i'm all ears (if i type this wrong, my english can be even more fun :D)

Sorry about this, not sure what the problem is then (yet). I'll see if I can get this resolved sooner than later for you.

Hi - I have just had the same problem start up today - the location icon for RIL is no longer showing. It has been there since I installed several mths ago and have gone to save a page today and no icon.
Posted Mar 9 10 Version: RIL 2.0.3 Browser: Firefox 3.5 reply
I have not installed any new add-ons.
I have two other machines and the icon is present and correct.
Anyways, disabled RIL, restarted, enabled RIL and restarted and wow - it returned to full working order. So, something maybe going on but this has at least got me going again.
