RIL Pro 2.2.0 crashes on startup
After I upgraded to version 2.2.0, RIL always crashed a few seconds after startup. When I launched it, a screen suggesting I review it appeared and then I was back at the springboard. I could dismiss that screen and get to the main screen of the application, but it would crash after a couple of seconds anyway.
I suspected it that it was happening because the existing data might be incompatible with the new version. So, I disabled the app in iTunes, then re-enabled it. That worked. It no longer crashes.
You might want to look into that though, since a crash during the screen asking to write a review is not good for business...
iPod Touch 1G, iOS 3.1.2
Resolved with Instruction from the Developer:
This has been fixed in version 2.1.1 which is available now in the app store.

Thanks for reporting this.
It's likely you are right, I did test the app on 3.1.3 without issues but it is possible there is a problem created by the new version on an older OS (< 3.2).
Reinstalling was what I would have suggested, so I'm glad you gave that a try. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you uninstall/reinstall does it resolve it?

Also are you using Pro or Free?

Another possible solution worth trying before uninstalling/reinstalling:

1. Set your phone to airplane mode and make sure wifi is turned off
2. Open the app
3. (Assuming it doesn't crash), wait about 10-15 seconds
4. Close the app
5. Reenable your internet connection
6. Try the app again
I'd be curious to know if this resolves it. I'm still digging in to see what is the cause.
Thanks guys! -

Okay here is the latest:

The crash affects iPhone users with iOS 3.1. The crash occurs in two places:
1. Immediately upon start-up after the upgrade
2. Entering the 'Add' screen
There are three possible fixes for #1 (the bigger problem) that will make the app usable again. They are ordered here (quickest to slowest):
---
Method 1:
1. Set your phone to airplane mode and make sure wifi is turned off
2. Open the app
3. (Assuming it doesn't crash), wait about 10-15 seconds
4. Close the app
5. Reenable your internet connection
6. Try the app again
--
Method 2:
1. Uninstall the app
2. Reinstall the app
--
Method 3:
The other option is to upgrade your phone to the latest version of the iPhone/iPod operating system which is now version 4.0.
----
I've already submitted an update to correct this but unfortunately due to the app review process this will take about a week.
Thanks for all that reported this. Sorry about the pain.
